    For this type of job, the best type of training you can receive is on the job training. No matter what it is you are going to be delivering or for what type of industry you will be working for, you need to be able to go and learn from someone who is already doing it and begin to pick up the skills and knowledge necessary in order to be a success. In some cases, you will need to provide your own transportation based on what you will be carrying and the style of packages you will be transporting.

    You will also need to look at your skill set and make sure that it is conducive to the industry. This will mean that you will need to look at how well you interact with people for starts. This is a field in which you will need to be working directly with your customers and representing whomever you will be working for. This will mean that you know how to talk to people and to be nice. Having the ability to have a conversation and interact with all different types of people.

    Having the ability to know where you are going and how to best get from one place to another efficiently is integral. If you are not familiar with the area you need to make it so you are. You will need to be organized and have a plan in order to be efficient and get the work done on time and as it is supposed to be.

    You are going to need to be able to handle the job. This means you will need to be in good physical condition to be able to move packages and to do so quickly. You will need to be able to keep track of what you are doing and where you are going. Seeing as you are going to be paid based on distances and amount of items moved you will need to keep track of these things and you will also need to look at how you will best arrange your routes to be the most efficient.
